Se analizó información de los agricultores sobre especies preferidas y productos y/o servicios para sistemas agroforestales en las zonas de Yurimaguas, Pucalpa e Iquitos en Perú. Los agricultores seleccionaron 58 especies en Yurimaguas, 62 en Pucalpa y 100 en Iquitos, las cuales están comprendidas en 41 familias. Se seleccionarion 23 especies, las cuales representan a 17 familias, para el desarrollo de sistemas agroforestales en esta zona de selva baja tropical. Los productos de mayor importancia de estas especies seleccionadas son madera, energía y alimento. Las especies de mayor prioridad para investigación en mejoramiento genético en sistemas agroforestales son: Bactris gasipaes, Cedrelina catenaeformis, Inga edulis, Calycophyllum spruceamum y Guazuma crinita. Information provided by farmers about products and services of tree species, and the preferred tree species for agroforestry systems in the Yurimaguas, Pucalpa and Iquitos areas of Peru was analysed. Farmers selected 58 species in Yurimaguas, 62 in Pucalpa and 100 in Iquitos, which include 41 plant families. 23 priority species, which include 17 plant families were selected, for the development of agroforestry systems for this tropical humid lowland zone. The priority products of these 23 species are wood, energy and food.
