Se describen los patrones de siembra y manejo de la biodiversidad en las chacras (fincas) de horticultura indígena amazónica, un tipo de sistema agroforestal tradicional. Se establece una tipología de "cultivos mixtos" y "policultivos" y se discuten sus implicaciones. Se ofrecen ejemplos de manejo de la biodiversidad de manera que puedan servir para experimentar en otros sitios y grupos sociales The planting patterns and handling of the biodiversity are described in the chacras (farms) of Amazon indigenous horticulture, a type of traditional agroforestry system. A typology of mixed cropping and polycrops is established, and its implications are discussed.
