Sc) -- CATIE, Turrialba (Costa Rica), 2011 Se elaboró un balance parcial y total de nutrimentos (NPK) en fincas de pequeños productores de cacao orgánico en el municipio de Waslala, Nicaragua utilizando el programa NUTMON. Se concluye que el uso de balances parciales es de más utilidad en agriculturas de bajo uso de insumos externos y donde los suelos son de una baja fertilidad, por lo que la información suministrada por productores en cuanto al traslado, ingreso y egreso de materiales de una unidad de producción a otra, permite conocer la interacción entre los cultivos y el componente animal, permitiendo diferenciar fincas con balances negativos y positivos. lo que permitiría identificar puntos donde los productores fallan en cuanto al manejo de nutrientes permitiendo establecer mejores estrategias para elevar la producción. Produced a partial and total balance of nutrients (NPK) in small-scale producers of organic cocoa in the municipality of Waslala, using the NUTMON model.
