Sc.) -- CATIE, 2010 sin embargo, los capitales humanos (humano, social, político y cultural) presentan una serie de debilidades que inciden directamente en la toma de decisiones...Por último, los niveles de apropiación que las familias productoras han demostrado hacia los sistemas tecnológicos adoptados, permiten visualizar que los efectos que se generaron a partir del pago por servicios ambientales como incentivo para la adopción de sistemas silvopastoriles por ahora son sostenibles, pero su sostenibilidad se constituye en frágil considerando la situación de un entorno externo altamente competitivo. El objetivo principal de la presente investigación fue el de evaluar la sostenibilidad del efecto del pago por servicios ambientales en fincas (n=45) donde se implementaron sistemas silvopastoriles bajo diferentes tecnologías de producción.El estudio estuvo enmarcado en el proyecto Enfoques Silvopastoriles Integrados para el Manejo de Ecosistemas (ESIME) y se lo desarrolló en dos partes. En términos de capacidad en gestión empresarial, los resultados mostraron que un alto porcentaje de productores (37,78 por ciento) se encuentran en un nivel alto de capacidad empresarial The main objective on this study was the evaluation of sustainability of the effects of payments from environmental services, the study took place at livestock farms (n=45) where silvopastoral systems were implemented under different production technologies. All the approaches were developed under the framework of a silvopastoral project and the whole study was split on two components...About the different grades of capacity of enterprise management, results show a high percentage of producers (37,78 percent) on a high level. Although social, political, cultural and human capitals have number of weaknesses that affect the capture of decisions.Last but not least, the levels of appropriation that families of producers were able to intake from the different technological levels approached, allow us to conclude that the effects generated from payment for environmental services, also considered as rewards for the implementation of silvopastoral systems, are certainly sustainable.
