Faustino, Jorge CUENCAS HIDROGRAFICAS ORDENACION DE CUENCAS GESTION NIVEL DE VIDA TENENCIA ENTORNO SOCIOECONOMICO LEGISLACION GOBIERNO LOCAL COSTA RICA Tesis (Mag Sc.) -- CATIE, 2008 Aunado a esto, las ordenanzas municipales y acuerdos intermunicipales en la zona de estudio son vitales para el desarrollo de este tipo de procesos. El objetivo principal de este estudio fue promover el escalamiento territorial para mejorar las condiciones de vida de la población en la zona de estudio, mediante la creación de una metodología que pueda ser aplicada a este contexto, esta investigación fue elaborado utilizando métodos cualitativos. Se realizaron treinta entrevistas y seis talleres usando la herramienta de fortalezas, oportunidades, debilidades y amenazas (FODA), mismos que fueron tabulados y analizados con herramientas de estadística descriptiva. Para finalizar algunas de las conclusiones del estudio son las siguientes: la caracterización biofísica, socioeconómica y legal puede revelar algunos aspectos relevantes que podrían acelerar el proceso de escalamiento territorial, tales como: tenencia de la tierra, red vial y acceso, principales actividades económicas y migración The main objective of this study was to promote scaling-up processes that could improve the population livelihoods of the inhabitants living in this area through the creation of a methodology that could be applied to this geographical region. This investigation was led using qualitative methods. Thirty interviews and six workshops using the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and treats (SWOT) technique were used as instruments to collect information. This information was written and analyzed using statistical descriptive methods. In sum, some relevant conclusions of this study were that the biophysical, legal and socioeconomic characterization of this area shows some vital aspects such as land property, economic activities, migration, road network and access, and these aspects could accelerate scaling-up processes.
