DESARROLLO RURAL ORDENACION FORESTAL POLITICAS REPUBLICA DOMINICANA Tesis (M. Sc) -- CATIE, Turrialba (Costa Rica), 2011 Esta investigación tuvo la finalidad de identificar los factores de éxito y las lecciones aprendidas en este proceso como base para orientar el acompañamiento al desarrollo en comunidades del bosque modelo. El estudio fue conducido en el Distrito Municipal Zambrana Abajo y comunidades de Bayaguana. Se usó el Enfoque de Medios de Vida Sostenibles (EMVS) y el Marco de los Capitales de la Comunidad (MCC) para entender el proceso. La recolección de datos se realizó a través de diferentes métodos cualitativos (entrevistas semiestructuradas, observación participante, grupos focales y análisis de información secundaria). Se encontró que el fortalecimiento del capital humano, a través de la capacitación de Promotores Agroforestales, direccionó positivamente la experiencia de Zambrana Abajo hacia un espiral ascendente de desarrollo endógeno. This research had the aim to identify the factors of success and learned lessons during the experience, as a base to direct the companionship to development in communities of the model forest. The study was conducted in the municipal district of Zambrana Abajo and communities of Bayaguana. The Community Capitals Framework (CCF) and Sustainable Livelihood Approach (SLA) were used to understand the process. The data collection was held through different qualitative methods (semi-structured interviews, participant observation, focus groups and analysis of secondary information).
