Sc) -- CATIE, Turrialba (Costa Rica), 2011 la determinación del relacionamiento de actores en la gestión forestal que inciden en la estructura de gobernanza y su funcionalidad en las microcuencas, documentación de políticas, planes y proyectos de gestión forestal implementados a nivel de las dos microcuencas, así como la propuesta de una posible estructura de gobernanza y condiciones habilitadoras para su implementación. Las principales condiciones habilitadoras identificadas como relevantes en el éxito en el desarrollo de proyectos en la zona han sido la organización local existente, el papel facilitador del Jardín Botánico Lancetilla, la existencia de áreas protegidas, el papel de Procorredor en el financiamiento de acciones y la asignación de áreas forestales nacionales a las organizaciones locales por parte del ICF. Finalmente este estudio plantea una estructura de gobernanza que se basa en un esquema que relaciona y articula el nivel local, el nivel regional y el nivel nacional, para lograr la mejor concertación y para hacer más viable y equitativa la participación de múltiples actores en la toma de decisiones. El estudio tuvo por objetivo analizar y fortalecer la gobernanza para la gestión forestal en las microcuencas de los ríos La Esperanza y Lancetilla, del Bosque Modelo Atlántida, Honduras, tomando los bosques modelo y las cuencas hidrográficas como unidades de gestión territorial. El análisis se basó en la caracterización de los actores claves de la gobernanza presentes en el territorio This study had the aim to analyze and strengthen the governance for the forest management in the micro-watersheds of La Esperanza and Lancetilla rivers, Atlántida Model Forest, Honduras, using the model forests and watersheds as territory management unities. The analysis was based in the characterization of key actors for the governance in the territory, determination of relationships among the stakeholders in the forest management who influence the structure of governance and its functionality in the micro-watersheds, documentation of policies, plans and projects of forest management implemented at level of both micro-watersheds, as well as the proposal of a possible governance structure and the enabling conditions for its implementation. The main enabling conditions identified as relevant in the success of the project development in the zone have been the existent local organization, the facilitator role of Lancetilla Botanical Garden, the existence of protected areas, the role of Procorredor in the support of actions and the assignation of national forest areas to local organizations by the ICF.
