Sc) CATIE, Turrialba (Costa Rica), 2005 El objetivo del estudio fue analizar la rentabilidad financiera de diferentes tipos de fincas cafeteras de altura a participar en el Programa "C.A.F.E - Practices" (PPP) de la compañía Starbucks este programa piloto busca mejorar la sostenibilidad social, ambiental y económica de los productores y actores de la cadena. Así, se estudiaron 51 fincas cafeteras de 3 cooperativas en zonas de alturas superiores a los 1300 m de Costa Rica: Tarrazú, Dota y San Luís. The objective of the study was to analyze the financial profitability of different types of coffee farMON of high altitude in participating in the program "C.A.F.E - Practices (PPP) of Starbucks this pilot program aiMON at improving the social, environmental and economic sustainability of the producers and other stakeholders of the coffee commodity chain.
