Sc.) -- CATIE, 2012 La presente investigación pretende dotar de información a los actuales y futuros involucrados, para tener insumos al momento de decidir invertir o no en la implementación del cultivo. Se logró determinar que las condiciones ambientales y de terreno, así como el deficiente manejo de las mismas, han influido en la variación de rendimientos en el país. Esta falta de criterio técnico para selección de los sitios para establecer las parcelas, más el uso de un cultivo no domesticado ha generado mucha incertidumbre en los proyectos implementados, lo cual se ha visto reflejado en el abandono de varias iniciativas en el país. Therefore, through this research aiMON to provide information to current and future stakeholders to have input in deciding whether to invest or not in the implementation of the crop. It was determined that the environmental conditions and terrain in much of initiatives are not optimal for crop development, as the poor management practices have influenced in the yield variation in the country and demonstrates that social criteria when establishing the crops, were stronger than the agroecological ones.
