HONDURAS AGUA POTABLE CALIDAD DEL AGUA PURIFICACION DEL AGUA VEGETACION OFERTA Y DEMANDA GESTION Tesis (M. Sc) -- CATIE, Turrialba (Costa Rica),2006 desde la parte alta hasta las tierras bajas. El principal objetivo del estudio fue analizar la variación de la calidad y cantidad de agua y su relación con la época climática en los acueductos del municipio. Observando que las aguas son aptas para consumo humano que requiere un tratamiento convencional previo consumo en algunos casos. Concluyendo que los metales pesados pueden ser los principales parámetros a tener en cuenta en las futuras evaluaciones. En relación con la cantidad de agua para consumo humano, los resultados mostraron que la oferta es de dos tipos, total y neta, por lo que es menor a la demanda en ciertos casos, más aún con la proyección de la demanda futura. Entre enero y agosto del 2006, se realizó una caracterización de las fuentes de agua destinadas para el consumo humano en la cuenca del río la Soledad, Valle de Angeles, Honduras. Se evaluó la cantidad y la calidad fisicoquímica y bacteriológica en 22 puntos From january to august of 2006, a characterization of the sources of water destined for the human consumption was carried out in the basin of La Soledad river, Valle de Angeles, Honduras. Physicochemical and bacteriological quantity and quality were evaluated in 22 points located in a gradient from the highlands to the lowlands. The main objective of the study was to analyze the variation in water quantity and quality of the aqueducts of the municipality, and how it is related to climatic season. Water will require conventional treatment before human consumption. Heavy metals were not considered in this study and could be important parameters for future evaluations. Water quantity for human consumption is of two types, total and net.
