Sc) -- CATIE, Turrialba (Costa Rica), 2008 Esta investigación pretende contribuir al conocimiento sobre la recuperación de las comunidades de aves en bosques restaurados en potreros abandonados de San Roque y Bajos del Calvo en el cantón Hojancha, Guanacaste-Costa Rica. Se buscó establecer y comparar la riqueza, abundancia y diversidad de aves entre bosques con diferentes fases de desarrollo y un bosque primario. Se encontró que no existen diferencias significativas entre los mecanismos de diseminación para las especies vegetales registradas entre el bosque secundario y el bosque primario. This investigation attempts to contribute towards the knowledge of the recuperation of the birds communities in abandoned paddocks of restored forests of San Roque and Bajos del Calvo in Hojancha canton Guanacaste-Costa Rica. It tried to establish and compare the richness, abundance and diversity of birds in the forest of different developing phases and a primary forest.
