Sumario:A bio-assay method showed promise for the comparative evaluation of stickers with the fungicide SR-406. Small cacao plants were carefully sprayed with the fungicide alone and in mixtures with three stickers. Leaf disks from the treatments were collected 3 hours, 5 days, and 13 days after application. The relative amounts of fungicides retained on the surface of the leaves were determined by the area of the zone of inhibited growth of Helminthosporium oryzae van Breda de Haan. The evaluation obtained by the bio-assay method was similar to that obtained in field tests.
