Description
Summary:I be nuhitve value of the Caulote fruit (Guazuma ulmifolia Lam) was determined by chemical analysis of samples from Honduras and Guatemala, by digestibility trials with rabbits and by growth trials with chicks The results showed differences in chemical composition between the samples from Honduras and those from Guatemala The coefficients of digestibility of the fruit were, in general!, low. Chick trials showed that the Canlote fruit can substitute 12% of corn without altering growth or feed efficiency.
