Sumario:In the selection of seed potatoes in the potato producing area of Cochabamba-Bolivia, the following visus diseases bave been identified: calico, simple mosdic, iugouse mosaic, leaf roll, and "extra sprout" which possibly is a race of witches broom. Potato seed selected by the tuber-unit method and free from rivus bas considerably increased production when compared with the ordinary seed used on the farms.
