Description
Summary:In this paper the author has studied the penetration of water into different regions of the Mocó cotton seed, Gossypium hirsutum marie-galante Hutch previously desinfected by concentrated sulphuric acid (density 184) during fifty minutes of exposition The penetration of water into treated seeds, was measured after twenty-four hours of immersion in distilled water Penetration was intense through all its regions, especially through the tegument region (seeds with micropyle and chalaza paraffined) The analysis of variance showed a significant F at the one percent probability level.
