At harvest time, results were measured as percent of damaged tubers and yields of the several treatments. The three insecticides proved to be effective in the protection of the tubers, with Heptachlor superior to Aldrin and Dieldrin. Nevertheless, on the yield basis, Heptachlor was inferior. The higher dosages are better than the lower. The more important fact is the high superiority of the applications to the furrow's surfaces before planting, compared with the entire soil surface applications. |
