| Sumario: | Research on aphids attacking Annonaceae trees in the Antilles (Cuba) has shown that they are attacked by polyphagous aphids, the most common of which are Aphis spiraecola (Patch) and Toxoptera aurantii (BdF). These species are parasitized by the indigenous species Lysiphlebus testaceipes (Cresson), which is highly effective in certain seasons of the year. Aphid control activities should be designed taking into account the plantation ecosystem as well as neighboring ecosystems. Control methods must be integrated. |
