It seems that some of these species are more susceptible to attacks of these fungus than others. Observations from preliminary investigations indicate the following susceptibility rates. Eucalyptus hybrid from Bangalore: very susceptible; E. alba and E. saligna: moderately susceptible; E. grandis and E. maculata: slightly susceptible. E deglupta showed a height resistance, both in the field (natural infection) as well as in laboratory experiments (artificial inoculation). |
