For Colorado series (distropets) immobilization occurred. For the first 3 months of incubation immobilization was observed for all soils. When inorganic P was fractioned the results show no relationship with mineralization, it rather shows variability of the Al-P, Fe-P and Ca-P during the incubation period. Lime application did not show any definite pattern. There was no effect for Colorado soil, but decreased and increased organic-P for Birrisito and Juray respectively. When temperature was compared there was no difference between room temperature (23°C) and 35°C. Phosphate application increased inorganic fractions of P, and increased organic P for Colorado soil. Mineralization seems to have occurred for soils high in total P and high in organic P. |
