| Sumario: | New records of the distribution, hosts and parasites are given for three species of Microlepidoptera associated with Pinus in Central America. Dioryctria erythropasa (Dyar) is recorded for the first time in Central America, feeding in the cones of P. oocarpa Schiede. The pupa of these species is similar to D. zimmermani (Grote) and D. amatella (Hulst) D. abietella (Denis and Schiffermuller) was reared in cones of P. pseudostrobus Lindl. in Honduras. Rhyacionia frustrana (Comstock) was reared in tips of young trees of P. caribaea var hondurensis Barrett and Golfari form Nicaragua and on P. oocarpa from Honduras. The larvae of R. frustrana were parasitized by Spilochlacis sp (Chalcididae) in Nicaragua and by Elachertus (Hyssopus) sp. (Eulophidae) and by Eurytoma sp. (Eurytomidae) in Honduras. |
