Summary:In a permanent pasture, on trumao soil (flat land) some practices of common use were evaluated during a five years period. The evaluation was made using the frequency and botanical composition criteria. The treatments studied were grazing, fertilization, burning and interspecific competition. The results were given in relation to the trend about botanical composition and frequency of the following species: Holcus lanatus, Agrostis tenuis, Paspalum dasypleurus, Trifolium repens, Lotus uliginosus, Juncus procerus, Carex fuscula, Hypochoeris raditaca, Plantago lanceolata and Rubus ulmifolius grouped under grasses legumes, rushes and sedges, and others.
