Sumario:Five different methods for organic carbon determination were compared, for six soils samples with variable carbon contents. The results obtained indicate that the methods tested are adequate for organic carbon recuperation, and that they were not affected by the kind of soil studied. Significative correlation factors between the methods, for the methods tested , reafirm this statement.
