Description
Summary:The copper added to the soils was preferentially adsrorbed by the pH dependent charges, wich in the Sao Paulo State soils are mainly due to organic matter constituents. A fraction of the added Cu ions forms very stable complexes or chelates, and the recovery of the Cu adsorbed with 0,05 N HCL solutions was not quantitative in most cases. Therefore a high Cu concentration was observed in the soil equilibrium solution, wich being mobile can contribute, effectively to the nutrition of the plant.
