Description
Summary:The chemical composition of leaves, stalks and roots of three cassava cultivars ´mangi´, ´Valencia´ and ´Bayuna Dulce´ was studied at the Fabio Baudrit Experimental Station of the University of Costa Rica close to the city of Alajuela. The extraction of P, K, Ca an Mg from soil by these cultivars and their yield was also investigated. It was observed that the three cultivars had similar chemical composition. Their stalks have lower content in the studied elements than their leaves and their roots have an even lower concentration except in regard of potassium.
