Auxinas e citocininas, em determinadas concentrações que levam a velacoes específicas, regulam o crecimento e morfogênese de explantes de folhas de phascolus vulgaris mantidos em cultura. O crescimento ótimo ocorreu na presença de 7,5 mg/l de IAA e 0,01 – 0,50 mg/l de zeatina. Por outro lado, para IAA e cinetina o crescimento otimo observado foi nas concentrações de 10,0 mg/l e 1 mg/l respectivamente. O índice de crescimento mais elevado foi observado nos explantes de folhas cultivados em meio de IAA-zeatina.
