The extracts obtained from immune old leaves were move fungitoxic than those from young leaves of the susceptible cultivar. There was no difference between the ether extract of cuticular wax from both types of leaves; the presence of two metabolites with fungitoxic activitity in this extract was determined by uni-dimensional paper chromatografic technique.
