Simple and multiple correlations were worked including age also as a physiological factor. The analysis indicated that in addition to temperature, vapour pressure prevailing in the morning had a high correlation of 0.89 with flower production. Vapour pressure also influenced flower shedding but to a lesser extent. Soil temperature in the afternoon had a negative correlation with yield.
