Sumario: | A comparison of the yield of Vigna unguiculata L. var. Tuy (Frijol bayo) as predicted by a traditional extraction method (Mendell reagent) and two methods which make use of the sorption characteristics of the soils are presented.
North Caroline's extraction reagent (Mehlich ) does not allow to define a "precise" P fertilizer dose for optimum yield and, besides that, the method gave a poor prediction. On the contrary, a method which define the P dose according to the fraction of the phosphorus maximum adsorption ( X max.) allows for a prediction between 90-99% in three of six cases. And finally the method proposed in this research (using the P adsorption isotherm and the P requirement of the crop) accounts for a predicdon between 90-96%in five of the six analyzed soils. |
