Nine treatments were evaluated (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 80 days with weeds after transplantation and one during the whole crop period). Also, nine weed-clean treatments were evaluated in the number of days as for weed treatments. The experiment was conducted under a completely randomized four black design. The results show that in the rice crop (cultivar the most competitive weeds were: Echinochloa crusgalli, E colonum, Leptochloa uninervia, Eclipta alba, Ammania coccinea, Cyperus esculentus, Eleocharis geniculata y Cyperus difformis. IVhen the rice crop was infested with weed during its whole cycle the rice yield loss was 78.38%.
