| description | Mediante el cultivo de meristemas, ápices y segmentos de tallo con una yema axilar, se exploró la posibilidad de lograr una multiplicación rápida in vitro del chayote (Sechium edule (Jacq.)Sw). Se observó una fuerte tendencia a la formación de callo, indistintamente del tipo de explante utilizado. Se determinó que los ápices fueron los explantes que mostraron mayor respuesta al crecimiento. Se obtuvieron plantas completas en medio Murashige y Skoog suplementado con 1 mg .01 exponente -1 ANA, 0.3 mg.01 exponente -1 BA and 0.2 mg.01 exponente -1 K. Los patrones de morfogénesis observados fueron estudiados histológicamente. |
