Sumario:Sweet potato is an important crop used as energy source. Its adaptation to extreme temperatures has promoted its cultivation in the Caribbean region of Colombia. However, traditional technologies are still used resulting in an unprofitable crop system. Sweet potato crop has the capacity to adapt to different environmental conditions, it is an important feature to ensure human food security in vulnerable regions (Glato, 2017)
