The main commercial destination is the retail market where there is a growing demand, both nationally and internationally. As it is a direct consumption product, it is essential to apply good agricultural practices in field handling, processing plants, storage in collection centers, and bulk sale warehouses. The objective of this work was to assess the risk associated with chronic and cumulative exposure to insecticides by ingestion of shelled and unshelled confectionery sunflower kernels.
