| Sumario: | The traditional method of characterizing forests through labor-intensive field inventories is expensive. This study presents initial findings from an experiment that utilized aerial photogrammetry with drones to obtain precise tree height estimations. A drone survey was conducted in a 34-hectare area, and field measurements of tree heights were also obtained through direct visual observation. Using the aerial survey data, a Canopy Height Model was generated, and tree height indicators were extracted. The results demonstrate that dronebased photogrammetry is an efficient method for estimating tree heights throughout the surveyed area. |
