Considerando las problemáticas de ingresar a fertilizar en estados avanzados del cultivo de maiz, el fertirriego constituye una técnica que prescinde del uso de maquinaria, optimiza el uso del agua y los nutrientes y permite elegir momentos adecuados de dosificación.
