El simulador PLAFORNEA, Plataforma de Gestión Forestal, es un software para la simulación del crecimiento de plantaciones forestales homogéneas y monoespecíficas, que pueden someterse a diferentes manejos silviculturales. Es uno de los tres simuladores de crecimiento forestal desarrollados hasta ahora en el país, dos de los cuales fueron desarrollados para la región mesopotámica y uno para la Patagonia.
