Sumario:The present study aimed to evaluate the apparent, basic, anhydrous, stationary and saturared apparent weight of Pinus taeda from the Marion and Livingston provenances. For this, 29 trees were harvested from a clonal seed orchard located in San Antonio, Misiones, Argentina. From the basal log of 60 cm in length, standardized samples were taken to determine the different types of apparent specific weights between rings 14 and 15. These physical properties were statistical significantly different between provenances, being higher values for Pinus taeda Livingston than Pinus taeda Marion.
