The procedure used to collect information is detailed as follows: information on the diagnostic process, selection of farmers, explanation of the survey (purposes, benefits and risks, responsibilities, role of the farmer), selection of clones, location of the trial on the selected farms, plot delimitation, evaluations (beginning, middle, and end of cropping cycle) and culinary quality tests, information recording (field book), monitoring of selected clones, and information analysis. (CIAT) Se presenta una metodologia complementaria de seleccion de clones de yuca en etapas avanzadas de evaluacion, la cual se debe realizar conjuntamente con agricultores e investigadores y asi aumentar la posibilidad de adopcion de los clones seleccionados. Se busco establecer una retroalimentacion entre transferidor, investigador, agricultor y mejorador, permitiendo asi identificar los criterios de seleccion que se deben incorporar en los programas de mejoramiento. Se detalla el procedimiento utilizado para captar informacion: informacion sobre diagnostico, seleccion del agricultor, explicacion de la prueba (propositos, beneficios y riesgos, responsabilidades, papel del agricultor), seleccion de clones, ubicacion de la prueba dentro de las fincas escogidas, demarcacion de parcelas, evaluaciones (inicio, mitad y final del cultivo) y prueba de calidad culinaria, registro de la informacion (libro de campo), seguimiento de clones seleccionados y analisis de informacion.
