(CIAT) Se analizan aspectos del cultivo de la habichuela en el Valle del Cauca como importancia, area, sistemas de cultivo, riegos, epoca de siembra, semilla, var., herbicidas, enfermedades y plagas y su control, rotacion, fertilizacion, cosecha, normas de calidad para compra de habichuela, mejoramiento genetico, costos de produccion e ingresos. La produccion de habichuela es para consumo interno. Parametros economicos como utilidad, rentabilidad, costo unitario y punto de equilibrio muestran las grandes ventajas del cultivo de habichuela en epocas de invierno, principalmente por la exigencia de agua del cultivo.
