(CIAT) Los principales factores limitantes del cultivo de habichuela en Peru son escasez de semilla de var. mejoradas, nematodos, roya, BCMV, barrenadores de brotes y vainas y mosca minadora. Para resolver estos problemas se hace necesario desarrollar un sistema eficiente de produccion de semilla de habichuela y promover sistemas de comercializacion que estimulen la produccion y el consumo. Se recomienda establecer un intercambio de materiales de habichuela a nivel internacional, y distribuir material en generaciones tempranas para ensayos de adaptacion.
