(CIAT) El programa de evaluacion de progenies de 3 etapas del CIAT probo 2300 materiales nuevos distribuidos en la siguiente forma: primera etapa, vivero de evaluacion de frijol (VEF): 1451 entradas; segunda etapa, ensayos preliminares (EP): 394 entradas; y tercera etapa (IBYAN): 210 entradas. Para estos 3 viveros uniformes se incluyen en forma de cuadro los siguientes datos: no. de grupos de viveros internacionales (IBYAN, VEF y EP) que se distribuyeron durante 1985 a los diferentes paises; distribucion de las entradas VEF; no. de entradas de frijol en el VEF organizadas segun el habito de crecimiento y las caracteristicas de la semilla; no. de entradas de frijol en cada grupo del VEF/85 organizadas segun la resistencia a enfermedades (mancha foliar angular, antracnosis y mancha foliar por Ascochyta); lineas exptl. con rendimientos superiores al prom. en 2 sitios en Colombia (EP/85); rendimientos de las mejores lineas del IBYAN organizadas segun la clase de color, tamano de las semillas, habito de crecimiento y localidad. Se incluye tambien un resumen de los resultados a nivel mundial de los ensayos del IBYAN realizados en el ano anterior.
