(CIAT) Se describe el flujo de germoplasma del CIAT hacia los programas nacionales para las siguientes regiones: America Central y el Caribe, tierras altas de Mexico, Argentina, Asia Occidental y la region andina (Colombia, Ecuador y Peru). Este flujo se canaliza a traves de los viveros de adaptacion (VA) y cada pais recibe el VA que corresponde a las preferencias locales de color del grano: negro, moteado o amarillo/beige. Cada VA de una clase de color dado es un vivero uniforme, lo cual facilita la compilacion de datos y observaciones en los sitios. Se incluyen cuadros que indican la distribucion de los VA segun el color y el pais, y las correlaciones de rendimientos vs. ambiente.
