(AS) Se investigo la incidencia de Ophiomyia spp. a nivel de fincas para determinar las perdidas en las distintas edades de la planta a diferentes alt. en el distrito de Kabale, Uganda. Se encontro una mayor poblacion de mosca del frijol en el rango de alt. entre 1860 y 2110 m que en los rangos inferiores o superiores. Se registraron amboas especies de mosca del frijol; sin embargo, O. spencerella fue la dominante. En investigaciones futuras se analizaran las perdidas del cultivo ocasionadas por danos de la mosca del frijol y se incrementaran las fechas de muestreo para determinar el comienzo de la infestacion.
