(CIAT) Se describen 2 tecnicas de propagacion de yuca, propuestas por CIAT, con algunas modificaciones ligeras realizadas segun la ubicacion y las condiciones climaticas de la region del pais: el metodo de estacas caulinares o retonos y el metodo de esquejes de una hoja y una yema. El primer metodo permite producir de 12,000 a 24,400 estacas al ano, de 20-25 cm cada una, aptas para la siembra comercial. El segundo tambien se esta aplicando con buenos resultados en Panama.
