(CIAT) El objetivo a largo plazo de la seccion de economia del Centro Internacional de Agricultura Tropical es analizar el impacto potencial de la tecnologia en yuca en America Latina. Se describen los ensayos realizados a nivel de finca en Media Luna (Magdalena) y en Mondomo (Cauca), asi como tambien los ensayos de cultivos asociados (yuca-maiz). Se incluye un estudio del analisis de los mercados utilizando como base la industria avicola en Colombia. Ademas se presentan cuadros con los rendimientos e ingresos netos en varios sistemas de cultivos intercalados yuca-maiz en Media Luna y yuca-frijol en Caicedonia; los contenidos de MS, fibra y porcentaje total de raices con pudricion radical de 4 lineas en diferentes periodos de cosecha; los rendimientos de raices frescas de las var.
