Sumario:With 70 per cent of Africa’s young population living in rural areas and more than 50 per cent of the ACP population below the age of 30, involvement of young people in agriculture is crucial if the sector is to develop and modernise. Under a common theme of building capacity, the strategy sets out four objectives: promoting policies on youth in agriculture; encouraging youth engagement in value chains; exploring increased use of ICTs by young people; and supporting young professionals in agricultural sciences and innovation.
