| Sumario: | Seventy-four weekly weighband and weighbridge comparsons were made on 21 pure and crossbred Malawi zebu cattle. The mean correlation coefficient obtained was +0.977. The weighband over-estimated the liveweight by a mean of 42 lbs, which was equivalent to an 8.5 percent error. The highest individual error obtained was 38 percent. It was suggested that the method was too inaccurate to be recommended. |
