description Presents and discusses the most important infertility problems in cattle, their causes and occurences in different African countries. These problems are anoestrum, abortion and endometritis in females and epididymitis in males. Abortion, endometritis and epididymitis are of infectious nature while anoestrum occurs mainly due to inadequate nutrition and endocrine imbalances. Among the genital diseases, brucellosis in females and epididymitis-vaginitis (epivag) in males are the major causes of infertility.
