Description
Summary:the CGIAR Systemwide Livestock Programme (SLP). The Programme builds upon the expertise and investments of twelve CGIAR centers (CIAT, CIMMYT, CIP, ICARDA, ICRAF, ICRISAT, IFPRI, IITA, ILRI, IRRI, IWMI and WARDA) on food crops, natural resource management, policy, institutional analysis and livestock to create synergies and leverage the resources within the system to address the global research needs of small-scale crop-livestock farmers in a coherent and integrated manner. The SLP thus serves as a platform for networking and coordination and as a springboard for high priority and broadly cross-cutting research projects.
