| Sumario: | This paper summarises the physical economic, cultural, and political diversity of the South-East Asian countries which are the 10 member countries of the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN), viz, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The paper also discusses the changing demand and increased opportunities for livestock; the livestock revolution in South-East Asia; meat, milk and other livestock products; priority areas for research and partnerships. The paper ends with an outline of ILRI activities in South-East Asia and future plans and possibilities.
