The use of faecal Na concentration as an indicator of Na status in lactating crossbred cows
Rumen fistulated Friesian X Zebu lactating cows were freely fed on diets containing oat-vetch hay ad libitum plus cottonseed oilmeal with 1.5 kg barley 1 or 3 kg with added sodium chloride 0 or 3 g/kg diet (low and adequate Na) in a 2 X 2 factorial design with periods of 20 days.
